I have had a progressive career in accounting over the last twenty-two years. I started working as a bookkeeper for a local retail chain in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and eventually earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2010. At the time I was graduating, I was hired as the Senior Accountant for Nambe, a high-end home accessories company with both retail and E-Commerce divisions. After several years in the role, I became the Controller for Marble Brewery, a local New Mexico brewery, where I helped to expand the business. 

In 2018, I started Albuquerque Accounting Specialists and have worked as an independent accounting contractor for several businesses in a variety of different industries in New Mexico and nationwide. I come from a family of small business owners and am passionate about helping businesses succeed. In 2020, I moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, to attend NMSU and changed the name of my business to Balanced Outsourced Accounting to expand my business to other areas.  In 2022, I earned a master’s degree in accounting from New Mexico State University. I have continued to build my outsourced consulting firm, where I help clients all over the country with their accounting needs, whether large or small, permanent or on a one-time consulting basis.

I live in Las Cruces, New Mexico, with my two dogs, Pickles and Penelope. I am a proud mom of my two adult children, Lane and Graysen, who is also NMSU alumni.  I am a foodie and enjoy trying new restaurants, traveling, cooking, trips to the farmer’s market, wine tasting, interior design, gardening, movies, entertaining, reading, hiking, and skiing. I love seeing the Organ Mountains every day and can’t imagine a home without the mountains nearby!
