I have had a progressive career in accounting over the last twenty-two years. I started working as a bookkeeper for a local retail chain in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and eventually earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2010. At the time I was graduating, I was hired as the Senior Accountant for Nambe https://www.nambe.com, a high-end home accessories company with both retail and E-Commerce divisions. After several years in the role, I became the Controller for Marble Brewery https://www.marblebrewery.com, a local New Mexico brewery, where I helped to expand the business.

In 2018, I founded Albuquerque Accounting Specialists and have worked as an independent accounting contractor for several businesses in different industries in New Mexico and nationwide. I am a fourth-generation small business owner and am passionate about helping businesses succeed. In 2020, I moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, to attend NMSU and changed the name of my business to Balanced Outsourced Accounting to expand into other areas.

In 2022, I earned a master’s degree in accounting from New Mexico State University. I continue to build my outsourced consulting firm by assisting clients nationwide with their accounting needs, whether large or small. I fell in love with the city of Austin, Texas, on my first trip in 1987, and recently relocated from Las Cruces with my two dogs, Pickles and Penelope, and am looking forward to expanding my business in Texas.

I am a proud mom of my two adult children, Lane and Graysen, who is also an NMSU alumni. I am a foodie who enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, cooking, the farmer’s market, wine tasting, interior design, gardening, movies, entertaining, reading, hiking, and skiing.
